SYRUS LLC (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) has established the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) regarding the handling of users' personal information in relation to the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as “the Services”).
 

Article 1 (Personal Information)
The term “personal information” shall mean “personal information” as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and shall refer to information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, or other descriptions contained in such information , and information that can identify a specific individual from that information alone, such as data related to appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and the policyholder number on a health insurance card (personal identification information).
 

Article 2 (Method of Collecting Personal Information)
We may ask for personal information such as your name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, and credit card number when you register to use the service. We may also collect information about transactions and payments that involve your personal information, such as information about transactions between you and our partners, from our partners (including information providers, advertisers, and advertising recipients. Hereafter referred to as “partners”).
 

Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
The purpose of our company collecting and using personal information is as follows.
 

  • To provide and operate services

  • To respond to inquiries from users (including verifying the identity of the user)

  • To send emails to users about new features, updates, campaigns, etc. for the services they are using, as well as information about other services provided by our company

  • For maintenance, important notices, and other communications as necessary

  • To identify users who have violated the terms of use or who are attempting to use the service for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to deny them access

  • To allow users to view, change, delete, or check their own registered information

  • To bill users for paid services

  • Purposes incidental to the above purposes of use
     

Article 4 (Change of Purpose of Use)
The Company shall change the purpose of use of personal information only when the changed purpose of use is reasonably considered to be related to the original purpose of use.
In the event that the purpose of use is changed, the Company shall notify the user of the changed purpose of use by the method prescribed by the Company or announce it on this website.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the prior consent of the user, except in the following cases. However, this does not apply in cases where it is permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.
 

  • When it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person in question

  • When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of the sound upbringing of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person in question

  • When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, local public body, or an individual or entity entrusted by either of the former two in executing the affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the consent of the individual in question is likely to impede the execution of said affairs

  • When the following matters have been notified or announced in advance, and our company has submitted notification to the Personal Information Protection Commission

    • That the purpose of use includes provision to a third party

    • The items of data to be provided to a third party

    • The means or method of provision to a third party

    • Suspending the provision of personal information to third parties at the request of the individual

    • Method of accepting requests from the individual

  • Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the following cases shall not be considered to be cases where the recipient of the information is a third party

    • When the Company consigns the handling of all or part of the personal information to a third party within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use

    • When personal information is provided as a result of business succession due to a merger or other reason

    • In the case of joint use of personal information with a specific party, if the individual is notified in advance or is able to easily find out the following information: the fact that personal information will be jointly used, the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of parties with whom the information will be jointly used, the purpose of use by the parties with whom the information will be jointly used, and the name of the party responsible for managing the personal information in question.
       

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

When the Company is requested by the individual to disclose their personal information, it will do so without delay. However, if the disclosure of the information falls under any of the following, the Company may choose not to disclose all or part of the information, and if it decides not to disclose the information, it will notify the individual to that effect without delay. Please note that a fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.
 

  • In cases where there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party

  • In cases where there is a risk of significant interference with the proper implementation of the Company's business

  • In cases where it would otherwise be in violation of the law
     

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in principle, information other than personal information, such as history information and characteristic information, will not be disclosed.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
If the personal information held by the Company about a user is incorrect, the user may request the Company to correct, add to or delete (hereinafter referred to as “Correction, etc.”) the personal information in accordance with the procedures specified by the Company.
If the Company receives a request from a user as described in the preceding paragraph and determines that it is necessary to respond to the request, it shall make the necessary corrections to the personal information without delay.
If the Company makes corrections as described in the preceding paragraph, or if it decides not to make corrections, it shall notify the user of this without delay.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information)
If the Company is requested by the individual to suspend or delete the use of their personal information (hereinafter referred to as “suspension of use, etc.”) on the grounds that the personal information is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or that it was obtained by wrongful means, the Company will conduct the necessary investigation without delay.
If, based on the results of the investigation in the preceding paragraph, it is determined that the request must be met, the Company will suspend the use of the personal information in question without delay.
If the Company suspends use, etc. in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or if it decides not to suspend use, etc., it will notify the user of this without delay.
Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if suspending use, etc. would incur significant costs or otherwise be difficult to do, and if it is possible to take alternative measures to protect the user's rights and interests, the Company will take these alternative measures.

Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
The contents of this policy may be changed without notifying users, except in cases where laws and regulations or other matters specified in this policy require otherwise.
Unless otherwise specified by our company, the revised privacy policy shall come into effect when it is posted on this website.
